The Columbus State University Business Plan Competition with total cash prizes of $10,000 is a process for high school and college students within the greater Chattahoochee Valley region to present their business plan to a team of judges composed of faculty and local small business leaders at Columbus State University. The final competition will be held at Columbus State University.
The goal of the Business Plan Competition is to promote entrepreneurship and the development of start-up companies by high school and college students, to build bridges between Columbus State University and the Columbus area, and to encourage commercialization of promising ideas emerging from the local community.
All current full-time and part-time college students and high school students from the greater Chattahoochee Valley region are eligible. Entries must be the original work of the entrants and may be submitted by an individual student or multi-member team.
The size of the team is not restricted. Each high school will be able to submit up to three business plans. The business plan must be based upon a realistic, marketable idea.
